The Inaugural Student Career Conference and Job Fair is and new and exciting event that will allow students and employers to connect outside of the job fair. This conference will provide students the opportunity to network and learn more about industries from professionals in their respective fields through employer panels. The panels will be made up of representatives in the government, nonprofit, STEM, and liberal arts professions. This is a great way to connect with our students and join in the discussions at the panels of your choice. We will conclude the conference with a student networking reception before the job fair begins. Your registration fee includes participation to the career conference and we would highly encourage your company/agency to be represented at this exciting event.

Careers in STEM Students will learn more about opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) career fields. Gain insight from current professionals on how to get a foot in the door and what to do to gain experience to prepare them for work in this growing industry.
Careers in Nonprofit Students will learn that there are many paths that lead to nonprofit careers just as there are many roles to fill within nonprofit organizations. This session will allow students to learn about the nonprofit sector from professionals ready to share their experiences and tips for career success.
11:00 – 11:50 Concurrent Sessions
How to Market your Liberal Arts degree? How does a liberal arts degree translate into a career? What marketable skills does a liberal arts education offer? Students will learn about the strengths of their degree by meeting professionals from a Liberal Arts backgrounds as they discuss their careers and perspectives on marketing a liberal arts degree.
Careers in Government Students will learn how they can make a difference by working for the government. A panel of experts will talk to students about career paths available with the local, state, and federal government.
Connecting with Employers Students will have the opportunity to get coached by career experts who will provide tips on networking, interviewing and making the most of a job fair.

Connecting with Employers Students will have the opportunity to get coached by career experts that will provide tips on networking, interviewing and making the most of a job fair.

Employer check-in will begin the morning of the event at 9:00AM. Please check-in at the "Employer Registration Booth" upon arrival to pick up your Employer Packet. The student career conference is scheduled to begin at 10AM and the Job Fair at 1PM and will end at 4PM. Space is limited!
No refunds are available after October 12. Non attendance at the Job Fair does not waive registration fee.
